Hi,

So many CIO Paradoxes, so little time. In this edition of The Heller Report, I introduce three new paradoxes, all under the banner of M&A. CIO magazine published this column back in August, and I received so much feedback on it, that I am compelled to recirculate it to all of you. Also in this issue, a new feature: The Quotable CIO (which, I might add, is not  an oxymoron). Our good friends at the CIO Executive Council occupy the third spot in this Report, and we close with a shameless plea for help.  Enjoy!

2. The Quotable CIO: Wit and wisdom in the age of twitter

Who on earth can say anything meaningful in fewer than 140 characters? CIOs can!  I’ve spent the last few weeks tweeting some of the words of wisdom I have heard from CIOs, and most of which I am including in my forthcoming book, The CIO Paradox. Once we are past the editorial review stage for the book, I can add bylines to these statements, but for now, please enjoy them in anonymous form. If you have any tweetable bon mots of your own, please include them in the comments section. I’d love to grow our collection.

3. A New Program from The CIO Executive Council: The Executive Women in IT (EWIT) Leadership Connection

EWIT Leadership ConnectionThe CIO Executive Council recently introduced a wonderful new program dedicated to advancing women in IT and in business. The Executive Women in IT (EWIT) Leadership Connection provides access to peer advice, events, resources and tools to help women on their journey to success. I have participated in several sessions and am consistently impressed by their quality.
